We are excited to share that we have launched an exciting new suite of personal and business credit cards as of January 1, 2018. Thanks to our new partnership with Collabria Financial, we are happy to offer a product that creates a better banking experience for our members—competitive rates & fees, a robust rewards program, a U.S. Mastercard and mobile device insurance just to name a few!

We are a few weeks away from our credit card transition. You should have recently received a communication from Interior Savings with some of the key dates to watch for. By June 5th you will receive your new credit card and PIN mailer in your mailbox from Collabria.

Please note you cannot activate your new card until June 16th. Until that date, there is no action required and you can continue to use your credit card and enjoy your credit card benefits. In the meantime, here are a few Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about this transition:

What do I need to do on June 16, 2018? Expand/Collapse

Starting on June 16, 2018, you will need to activate your new Collabria card by calling 1-855-341-4643. At this time, you can also change your PIN if you want to. Once your new credit card is active, please destroy your current card. It will stop functioning June 16, 2018. Any re-occurring monthly payments (Netflix, gym memberships, donations etc.) will need to be updated with your new credit card information.

How do I activate my PIN once it has been changed? Expand/Collapse

Once you have changed your PIN, you will need to activate it. To activate your PIN at a merchant or at an ATM, one of the following actions is required (This is an additional security measure to ensure that your new PIN is authorized):

  • When you first use your card to make a purchase, you will be required to enter your PIN three times to trigger your PIN activation. The first time you enter your PIN, the machine will advise that your PIN is invalid. You must repeat this step two more times. On the third time, the PIN will be authorized and your transaction approved. We recommend using a self-serve machine such as at a gas station. As part of the approval process you may be asked by the merchant to provide a signature on the sales slip. Your new PIN has now been activated.

  • Or perform a single cash withdrawal at any financial institution ATM to activate the PIN. Please note that fees apply.

What transfers over to my new Collabria credit card? Expand/Collapse

  • Any balance owing on your existing credit card will transfer over to your new Collabria credit card
  • Any reward points you have will transfer over to your new Collabria credit card
  • You will retain the same billing period
  • If you have been charged an annual fee prior to June 15, 2018, you will not be charged again until 2019
  • If you have a promotional balance transfer interest rate on your current credit card, this will transfer over to your new Collabria credit card

What about my reward points? Expand/Collapse

You will not lose any of your reward points. Any unredeemed points will be transferred over point-for-point to the FlexRewards program through Collabria. Points can be redeemed through the Collabria rewards program starting June 16, 2018.

Do I need to change my re-occurring payments? Expand/Collapse

Yes! Your new Interior Savings Collabria Mastercard card will have a different card number then your existing Mastercard. Any re-occurring payments (Netflix, gym memberships, donations etc) scheduled up to and including June 15, 2018 will be charged to your existing Mastercard. Any payments scheduled for June 16, 2018 and onwards will need to be updated to your new Collabria Mastercard card number. Please note, you can activate your Collabria Mastercard card starting June 16, 2018.

What are some common re-occurring payments? Expand/Collapse

We recommend you look through your monthly statements for any re-occuring payments you have set up. Some of the common payments charged to a credit card include:

  • Netflix
  • Gaming Subscriptions (Xbox, Playstation, etc.)
  • Music Subscriptions (Sirius, Spotify, Google Music)
  • Amazon
  • Paypal
  • Apple
  • Gym Memberships
  • Charitable Donations
  • Annual Subscriptions
  • Mobility Providers (Telus, Rogers, Bell)

What if I want a different Mastercard credit card? Expand/Collapse

We have done our best to match your existing credit card with a comparable credit card from Collabria. If you receive your card and decide that you would prefer a different Collabria product, please call the Member Service Centre (1-855-220-2580) or visit your branch and our staff can complete a product transfer request for you. Please note you can only do this after June 16, 2018.
